Zoo Friends provides assistance to Sydney's Taronga Zoo and Dubbo's Taronga Western Plains Zoo. We are a not-for-profit organisation raising over two million dollars last year in support of the Zoos and its conservation strategies.

Important information to members about Taronga Zoo's new car park

Taronga Zoo’s new car park will become fully automated on Wednesday 5th August 2009.

The new car park features over 600 car spaces.

As a Zoo Friend member you are entitled to a discounted parking rate of $5.00. To receive your exclusive discount you will be required to take your car park ticket to theMain EntranceZoo Shop counter when exiting the Zoo to have your ticket validated. Once your ticket is validated, you can pay the fee of $5.00 at the automated pay machines in the car park or at the car park pay station.

Please note that the Main Entrance Zoo Shop closes at 5pm.  If your ticket has not been validatedby that timeyou will be required to pay the full rate of $15.00

By just being a member of Zoo Friends you have helped endangered wildlife and international conservation. This is priceless. So when considering whether you should renew your membership each year, please do so. You are funding critical conservation and education projects.

Ever wondered how Taronga’s Zoo Keepers train a seal, a lion or even an elephant. Come behind the scenes for a once in a lifetime experience at Taronga Zoo and learn about animal training from the experts!

Animal Training is a two-day training course designed to give you the skills and know-how to use Taronga’s training techniques at home.
