Wild Member Activities
Become a Volunteer
- Membership gives you the opportunity to apply
as a volunteer. Members provide a number of very important functions
at the zoo including public education, public relations and animal
watch.

- This quarterly publication gives you all the latest news and updates on what's happening at Taronga Zoo and Taronga Western Plains Zoo.

Where Your Money Goes
Your membership fee goes towards supporting the work of Taronga and Taronga Western Plains Zoos.
A more detailed breakdown:
- 50% goes straight to Taronga and Taronga Western Plains Zoo. In 2006/07, this has amounted to over $1.3 million.
- $10 goes to the Taronga Foundation in support of the Zoological Parks Board's master plan. So far in 2006/07 this has amounted to over $367,991*
- After operating expenses are met, all remaining funds are returned straight back to the Zoos in grants to help conservation projects and animal enclosures.
*For every $1 that we donate to the Taronga Foundation, the NSW government matches it with $3.
